Heartbeat sound effect free — 20 horror & suspense sounds, one tap to play
A heartbeat sound is the deep lub-dub of a heart beating fast — perfect for horror videos, suspense edits, thriller Reels and any scene that needs tension. This page has 2 kinds of sounds — heartbeats and footsteps — and every single one is different — one perfect sound of each kind. All sounds on this page are original, made on your device — not copied from Pixabay or any sound library — and free to use in your edits, horror videos, suspense Reels, drama and films, even commercial ones. No signup, no attribution needed.
How to use a heartbeat sound in your video
Tap the big round button to hear a sound, then tap ⬇ Download to save it as a WAV file.
Play a heartbeat under a scary scene — a slow beat builds dread, and a faster beat makes the tension rise.
Use Footsteps when someone walks in the dark — heavy steps down a hallway or up the stairs make viewers hold their breath.
Loop a 3-second heartbeat under a whole scene, then cut it off suddenly right before the scare — the silence hits harder than the sound.
Download All (ZIP) gives you all 2 horror sounds at once, so you always have one ready.
